Have you wanted to learn to drive a Manual Transmission? We can teach you the fundamentals needed to give you a head start on the road. The course begins with a one-on-one overview of procedures, hill starts, engine starting and parking, shifting while driving driving, reversing, shifting up while accelerating and downshifting while slowing down. After this we put you on the simulator so you can practice the techniqes you learned and do this repetitively until you feel comfortable. This course takes about 1.5 hours with 50 minutes of simulator driving. Cost is $125 and is done by special appointment only. Call or fill out form below to setup.

How Close Does This Feel To Real Life?

While driving the feel is very close to real life for both shifting up while accelerating and down shifting while slowing down. There are consequences such as blown transmission or engine if you drive incorrectly. The feeling of the clutch when starting from a standstill and starting to drive does feel different, in real life you can feel the friction as the clutch engages which you cannot here but the principles still apply. As an added bonus you have the road here all to yourself so you can practice without the pressure of stalling with someone behind you.

Can This Replicate All Cars?

The principles and methods of shifting apply to all cars. The main difference between cars is the pressure of the clutch and the hp of the different cars that can change how it feels in real life.
